While for some, Christmas highlights all that is good, others are reminded of all that is missing. 

At Safe Pets Safe Families, ‘Our Christmas Wish’ is to give vulnerable people and pets the options and the assistance they might need to feel a little less worried, anxious, fearful or unsafe, this Christmas. 

We receive referrals every day from people and pets doing it tough, giving us heartbreaking insight into their lives. 

With your help we can continue removing barriers to safety and housing by offering crisis foster care.  We can care for the pets of those who are hospitalised with no social support. We can provide access to vet care for people experiencing homelessness and financial hardship.

At Safe Pets Safe Families, we don’t need convincing of the importance of the human-animal bond. Pets are cherished companions, best friends, and members of the family. They can give us purpose, boost our mood, reduce our stress and even improve our physical health. For some, they are everything, the sole source of comfort. 

Your contribution to ‘Our Christmas Wish’, will see Safe Pets Safe Families continue to reduce animal neglect, surrender, and non-medical euthanasia. We will continue to contribute constructively to broader social systems by improving community safety and mental health, supporting hospital admissions, and reducing the burden on animal management bodies.  We will continue to keep people and pets together.
